Tom Raster is an Assistant Professor at the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ in the Department of Economic History.
His research lies at the intersection of economic history, spatial economics, trade, and labour economics, with a particular focus on Eastern Europe. In his first research agenda, he investigates the determinants of new trade connections and entrepreneurship. His second research agenda explores the causes and consequences of forced labor, especially serfdom.
He holds a PhD and an MA from the Paris School of Economics in France.
