We wish to recruit an Assistant Professorial Research Fellow for a 24-month post to conduct original research on innovative pedagogy. Based in the AFSEE programme, the postholder will be expected to research, review, and strengthen AFSEE’s pedagogy, to identify good practice and develop insights that can be applied in the teaching of AFSEE modules, across ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, the Atlantic community and in the wider higher education sector.  The post holder will contribute to the intellectual life of the School more broadly through conducting and publishing outstanding quality research on innovative pedagogy, working collaboratively with education experts at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ and participating in wider AFSEE and III activities.

 Candidates should have:

·       A completed PhD in education or relevant social science field by the post start date

·       Expertise and research interests in innovative pedagogy

·       A track record of research experience in higher education or adult learning contexts

·       Experience in evaluating educational interventions such as curriculum design and pedagogical approaches

·       Understanding of decolonial approaches to education
