About me

Qi is a PhD candidate in Demography (Social/Formal) supervised by Professor Michael Murphy and Professor Jouni Kuha.

Qi is interested in fertility theories, formal demography, and agent-based simulation. His doctoral research focuses on social interaction and fertility dynamics funded by an ESRC-ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ scholarship.

Qi holds a bachelor’s degree in Management from Chongqing Technology and Business University and a master’s degree in Social Research from the Australian National University. Qi also attends the European Doctoral School of Demography 2019/20 (Max Planck Institute of Demographic Research and Centre d’Estudis Demogràfics), where he was funded by the University of Southern Denmark.
