About me

Maxi Heitmayer is a human-computer interaction scholar working on the social and psychological outcomes of technology use.

He is interested in how people use technology in their everyday lives, their routines and behavioural patterns, and how this influences their decision-making processes, particularly regarding the use of time and the direction of attention. He also works on human interactions in digital environments and hybrid spaces with a focus on social norms and culture.

His research takes a mixed-methods approach with a focus on visual methods and video-ethnography.

Maxi is a Senior Lecturer at the University of the Arts London.
