I need to interview a member of the Economics faculty about a current economic issue. Can you recommend someone?

You can find out which academics work in particular fields by referring to the on the School's website. When you have found someone who might be a good fit, you can simply email the academic directly. For further advice, contact the  (Email Media.Relations@lse.ac.uk or telehone 020 7955 7060).

Can I visit the Department and meet the staff?

We do not meet prospective students individually; if you would like to find out more about the Department or the School, please visit us on one of our regular Open Days. Details of these can be found at the .

How do I get a ticket for an Economics public lecture?

Do you provide/arrange private tutorship in economics subjects?

This is not a service provided by the Department. However, there is a noticeboard in the office where you can advertise your interest to tutorship.

Are there any short-term courses in economics offered by the Department?

The department does not offer short-term courses during term-time. There is only the summer school about which you can find information at the Summer School

I would like to apply for an internship in your department/with one of your professors. Whom should I contact?

The Department of Economics does not offer any internships. The research centres connected with the Department sometimes recruit students to act as Occasional Research Assistants (ORAs) but these are advertised internally, as the ORAs are drawn from our own student body.
