At my employer, Amazon Web Services (AWS), we embrace a leadership principle that encourages us to "Learn and be curious.". This commitment to expanding knowledge and understanding brings to mind my experience at the European Institute of ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, where I encountered an extraordinary environment filled with positive energy, brilliant minds, and intellectual inspiration. As a graduate student specializing in Political Economy of Europe, I delved deeply into the study of innovation systems within the state and the various factors that drive economic progress.

Since completing my studies at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, I have remained dedicated to the field of state innovation and government transformation. My mission centres around modernizing public administration through digitization, enabling the German government to pave the way for a prosperous future for all citizens and efficiently delivering public services. Driven by curiosity, I have approached this task from multiple angles throughout my career. Currently, as a Partner Manager for Public Sector at AWS, I support IT companies partnered with AWS in implementing Cloud Computing and Innovative Software solutions for government and other public sector organizations. Prior to this role, I served as a strategy consultant at the in-house consulting unit of the German Government, where I acted as a project manager for major digital transformation initiatives of German federal ministries.

Reflecting on my journey and the invaluable lessons learned from ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, there are three key elements that have greatly contributed to my career progression. Firstly, surrounding myself with exceptional talent and fostering collaboration has led to personal growth and development that surpassed my expectations. Secondly, the rigorous academic environment at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, coupled with the complexity of research questions tackled, has prepared me for demanding jobs and work-related challenges. Lastly, the diverse community of staff and students at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ has taught me the importance of embracing different perspectives to gain a comprehensive view.

While the academic and professional value of my year at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ is undeniable, I would like to emphasize the personal impact it had on me. The European Institute's 2016 cohort provided me with a wealth of friendships and introduced me to some of the dearest companions in my life.
