As the Brexit negotiations are at a critical stage, Nathalie Loiseau, Minister for European affairs in the French government, will take stock of the negotiations ahead of a decisive vote in the House of Commons. The Minister will also look beyond Brexit to set out what reforms the EU needs to renew the European project and ensure the future of the Union, and how Franco-British relations can help in this regard.

Nathalie Loiseau () is the French Minister for European Affairs. She joined the French Foreign Ministry in 1986 and among other positions, has worked at the Press and Communication Directorate, Asia Directorate and United Nations Directorate. Ms Loiseau was also appointed Director of the French National School of Public Administration (ENA) on 3 October 2012, a position she held until June 2017.

Professor Iain Begg () is Professorial Research Fellow at the European Institute and Co-Director of the Dahrendorf Forum, London School of Economics and Political Science.

The  () is a centre for research and graduate teaching on the processes of integration and fragmentation within Europe. In the most recent national Research Excellence Framework (REF 2014) the Institute was ranked first for research in its sector.
