Benjamin Braun is an assistant professor in political economy. His research interests include the role of finance in capitalism, macrofinance, and the green transition. His academic work has been published in, among other journals, Perspectives on Politics, Socio-Economic Review, and Review of International Political Economy. He is currently writing a book about asset manager capitalism, under contract with Chicago University Press.
Benjamin serves as an associate editor for Competition & Change. He is a fellow at the Hertie School in Berlin, which hosts his research project .
Before working at the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, Benjamin was a senior researcher at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne. He has held a JFK Memorial Fellowship at the Center for European Studies at Harvard University (2016-2017) and was a member of the School of Social Science at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton (2019-2020).
