Daniela is a PhD candidate at the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳’s European Institute.
Her research investigates the interaction between policymakers working on migration governance in international organisations and civil society actors with a lived experience of migration. With a background in IR and migration policy, her broader academic interests include migration governance at the EU and UN level and global democracy.
Daniela holds an MSc in International Migration and Public Policy from the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ and a BA in International Affairs (major) and Philosophy (minor) from John Cabot University (Rome, Italy). Before joining the European Institute for her PhD, she worked as a trainee in the LIBE Committee of the European Parliament and volunteered with an NGO providing legal aid and assistance to refugees in Rome.
Daniela’s studies are funded by an ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Studentship.
