ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳'s Daniel Paravisini wins Brattle Group First Prize in corporate finance

The Department of Finance is delighted to announce that Professor Daniel Paravisini has been awarded First Prize in the at the Annual Meeting, which took place on January 5-7, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas. Daniel shares the $25000 award with his co-authors Veronica Rappoport and Philipp Schnabl for their article ", published in the Journal of Finance in June 2023.

The Brattle Group Prizes are awarded annually for outstanding papers on corporate finance. The winning papers are chosen by the Associate Editors of . All papers published in issues of The Journal of Finance from the first five issues of the given year, as well as December of the previous year, are eligible.

This year marks the second time Daniel has collected this prestigeous award, having last won in 2010 for "" (co-authored with Andrew Hertzberg and José M. Liberti).

The ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Department of Finance has an extremely strong record in the world of corporate finance research, with three First place Brattle Prizes and six Distinguished Papers from our Faculty in recent years.
