Internships 

ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ IDEAS does not have a summer internship programme. ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ IDEAS does not regularly hire interns, but paid internships in administrative roles are sometimes available. Internships in research roles are not available, but research students can apply to join IDEAS as a visiting research student - see 'Research students' below.

Research students

Visiting Research Students undertake their research at IDEAS, benefiting from our facilities and community.

Benefits

ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ IDEAS is housed in Pankhurst House at the heart of the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ campus. Its offices are equipped with telephones, computers, printers, photocopier and a fax machine.

Visiting students have reading and borrowing rights in the British Library of Political and Economic Science and membership of the Senior Common Room.

They may attend the public lecture programme at the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ and, by arrangement, participate in seminars that interest them.

Fees and requirements

Visiting Research Students are expected to play a part in the broad research culture of ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ IDEAS, although there are no formal obligations placed upon them.

There are no minimum or maximum periods of stay and fees are charged on a pro-rata basis.

Applications

Applications may be received at any time. Applicants should submit the following

  • a copy of your research proposal
  • updated CV
  • a covering letter outlining the reasons for your stay
