Dr Seebal Aboudounya has completed her PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳) and she was a Fellow in the International Relations Department at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ in 2021/22.
Seebal became interested in International Relations while travelling with her father, who is an ambassador, during his diplomatic postings to different countries including the United Kingdom, Namibia, Russia and Australia.
Seebal Aboudounya was ranked the Top student and awarded the prize of Best Overall Performance of the Year for all three years in BA (Hons) International Politics at King’s College London (KCL). She graduated from KCL with First Class Honours. Seebal completed her master’s degree at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS, University of London) with Distinction. She was awarded the prize of Best Student Profile for MA International Studies and Diplomacy and also the prize for Best Dissertation.
In 2022 she was awarded a prestigious African Women Award for being a 'She Achiever in International Relations'. The award is for her achievements in International Relations, and specifically for being ‘an outstanding African Woman Achiever in International Relations’.
