About me

I am a trained linguist with a PhD in English from the University of Bordeaux. I also have a Master of Arts from the Royal College of Art in London. This led me to teach cultural studies and supervise dissertation students at Central Saint Martins College of Art as well as teaching French for many years.

I have taught French at the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Language Centre since 2000 as well as at the French Institute in London since 2002. I specialise in teaching French as a Foreign Language, and for Specific Purposes, namely for diplomats at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and for students in Higher Education. I have a special interest in French and British culture, society, art and language.

About the Language Centre

ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ is a centre for the study of the social sciences and this is reflected in its Language Centre.

Our courses focus on language and society, encouraging you to learn how to use language in the contexts you would like to live, study and work in. We teach people to speak languages, but also teach about language (socio-linguistics and intercultural communication) and offer a range of courses on literature and society.

We offer English for Academic Purposes programmes, BSc programmes a range of undergraduate degree courses that can be taken as part of a degree and a range of language options that can be taken outside of a degree programme. All programmes and courses relate language study and support to the fields of interest of social science students.
