Success at the Introduction to Mooting Seminar

The Introduction to Mooting Seminar is an annual seminar organised by the Bar & Chambers, ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳SU Law Society to provide members with a detailed overview of mooting basics.

It covered four important components in mooting, namely skeleton argument, research and bundling, etiquette and speech delivery.

This year, Bar & Chambers, ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳SU Law Society invited members of the External Mooting Team (EMT) and competition winners to provide training for interested members in the four aforementioned components. The society encouraged more interaction between the trainers and participants to make the seminar more interesting and effective. Overall, the event was a success.

The Bar & Chambers, ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳SU Law Society received more sign-ups than it could accommodate in the beginning and had to close the registration earlier than the deadline.

On the day itself, more than 60 members attended the event. The feedback from participants was positive; the seminar had helped them understand the basics of mooting and that the pace of each session was comfortable. They were also eager to sign up for the upcoming Practice Non-competitive Moot.

The Bar & Chambers, ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳SU Law Society is thankful to the trainers for spending their afternoon with them. They said: "we hope to receive similarly enthusiastic responses from our members again in the future."
