Mrs Justice Ayesha A. Malik of the Supreme Court of Pakistan recently visited London School of Economics and Political Science (ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳) where she met with the Dean of the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Law School, Professor David Kershaw. Mrs Justice Malik arrived in London on the invitation of our LLM student, Mustafa Yar Hiraj, to speak at a conference being hosted by him, namely the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Future of Pakistan Conference 2023. Mrs Justice Malik is the first female to be appointed to Pakistan's Supreme Court. She has authored judgements on a wide variety of subjects, including the declaration of the two-finger virginity test and hymen examination of rape victims as unconstitutional and violative of human dignity, enforcement of international arbitration in Pakistan, the declaration of assets in general elections, etc.
