Genevieve Heng is a PhD Candidate in Law at the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳. Her current research explores how copyright law and digital regulation work together to influence the digital creative process as a whole, owing to imperfect private enforcement initiatives by rightsholders.
She holds an LLB (First Class Honours) from the University of Bristol and an LLM (Distinction) in Intellectual Property from the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳. In her postgraduate studies at the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, she wrote a dissertation on algorithmic enforcement of copyright by online platforms and its interaction with the EU Copyright Directive. She is also called to the Singapore Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor.
