This research project, funded by the Leverhulme Trust, critically reflected on some of the key challenges posed by the Syrian refugee emergency in Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and the wider Middle East. A workshop, entitled 'The Long-term Challenges of Forced Migration: Local and Regional Perspectives from Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq', was held at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ on 17–18 June 2016, from which a , a and a  were produced. All papers were published and in print, in both English and Arabic.
