Scheme for the award of a taught master's degree for students entering from 2008/09: Sub-board 'local rules'

Please read the following local rules in conjunction with the relevant scheme paragraph in the for this programme:

These Exam Sub-Board 'local rules' apply to the following programmes:
Master of Public Administration
MPA Dual Degree
MPA European Policy-Making
(formerly MPA European Public and Economic Policy) (withdrawn 2018/19)
MPA European Public and Economic Policy
(withdrawn 2017/18)
MPA International Development
MPA Public and Economic Policy
MPA Public Policy and Management
MPA Public and Social Policy
MPA Social Impact

Note: for students starting before 2019/20 the full degree title is determined as one of the MPA headings listed above. For students starting in 19/20 the full degree title shall be determined based on the combination of courses taken over the course of the programme, with a particular specialism noted on the degree certificate and transcript once the programme is complete. For both sets of students the following classification scheme shall be used to calculate the level of award.

Distinction/Merit borderline (scheme paragraph 3.4.2):
Classification for students with mark profiles falling into this range will always be determined to the advantage of the student.

Classification for students with mark profiles falling into this range will always be determined to the advantage of the student.
