Microeconomic Theory for Research Students

This course is available on the MRes/PhD in Economics and MRes/PhD in Economics and Management. This course is not available as an outside option.
Pre-requisites
Students must have completed Microeconomics for MRes students (EC441).
Course content
The objective of this course is to provide students with a graduate level introduction to advanced topics and contemporary developments in Microeconomic Theory. Topics may include:
- Classic static and dynamic game theory
- Contract theory
- Decision theory
- Bounded rationality
- Psychology and economics.
Teaching
30 hours of lectures in the AT. 30 hours of lectures in the WT.
This course is delivered through lectures totalling a minimum of 60 hours across Autumn Term and Winter Term. Attendance is compulsory.
Formative coursework
Students will discuss papers in lectures.
