Tony has taught in the Department since 2005 on a range of MSc courses, and is also a Director of Public Policy at the Policy Analysis Centre. Past roles have included serving as Special Adviser to UK Cabinet ministers, Head of Research at a think tank, an expert adviser to the European Commission, and Director of European Public Policy in the headquarters of one of the world’s largest life sciences firms.
Since completing a PhD at the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Tony’s research has concentrated on the process of policy change, and the role of incremental change in producing substantive and lasting policy shifts. Tony has taught the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ postgraduate course in Behavioural Public Policy since its inception, and now edits the blog for the journal of the same name for Cambridge University Press. In addition to teaching and research at the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Tony teaches on health and behavioural sciences at a range of universities throughout the UK and Europe.
