The is a two year, interdisciplinary, graduate programme in public policy and administration, with a special emphasis on rigourous empirical training, particularly in economics, econometrics and political science.
MPA Curriculum
Core training in political science, economics and quantitative methods during the first year is followed in Year 2 by the MPA Capstone where you will apply your knowledge and skills to a real issue for a client organisation. Alongside the compulsory courses, you will take the option courses and have an opportunity to write a dissertation or Policy Paper if you wish to.
The opportunity to specialise your degree
MPA students have the opportunity to add a specialism to their degree by taking and passing certain courses. The Inequality and Poverty specialism requires students to take and pass PP4X6 Welfare Analysis and Measurement. Find out more about the Inequality and Poverty specialism here.
