The annual Vera Anstey South Asia Essay Competition is very popular amongst postgraduate students at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, and the Centre receives brilliant submissions.

The best essay is published on '', the Centre's flagship academic blog which has been ranked in the top 10 (out of 40+) academic blogs at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ since 2021, with nearly half a million readers every year.

The winner also receives Waterstones Book Vouchers worth £250.
