Eat
Kapihan. This is a specialty South East Asian coffee house and bakery. Fusing eastern and western cuisine, they offer a creative selection of freshly baked goods, like kimchi croissants, cassava cake and pan de adobo, which is served alongside their delicious coffee. The coffee shop is based in Battersea.
Nandine. A popular family run Kurdish restaurant located in Camberwell, now with three locations in South London. At Nandine, you can find traditional Kurdish dishes, like mezze, borek and baklava.
Fish, Wings and Tings. Head over to Brixton Village to taste delicious caribbean food at Fish, Wings and Tings. Known for its jerk chicken, some other favourites include the roti dishes and curries.
Borough Market. Borough Market has it all - fresh produce, artisanal producers, food stalls, baked goods and so on... be sure to try Borough's famous pasta bar; Padella, a freshly made filled doughnut from Bread Ahead and a traditional Italian gelato at 3BIS.
Located in Elephant and Castle, Mercato Metropolitano is a food market place with 26 stalls for you to choose from. There is a large selection of Italian food stalls selling pizza, pasta, and gelato but you can also sample other cuisines here, including colombian, japanese and argentinian.
Head to Goddards, a family run business, to sample a traditional East End dish of pie and mash. Goddards, established in 1890, serves a selection of handmade pies, with vegetarian and gluten free options available too. Go for the traditional London pie mash and liquor.
Open every Friday and Saturday from 5pm to midnight. Hawker House is a large indoor, street food market in Canada Water. There is a line up of 12 different food stalls from fried chicken to pizza, doughnuts to Taiwanese buns, and a selection of drinks vendors to choose from too. To avoid their entry free, be sure to head over before 7pm.
Do
Open only on the weekends, Maltby Street Market is a very popular destination for foodies. Situated in a narrow railway arch, be prepared to bump shoulders as you eat from gourmet food stalls. With a diverse range of vendors to choose from, there is something for everyone.
Newly open in 2019, Vinegar Yard has it all, from food and drinks to art installations, pop-up shops and vintage stalls. Open everyday of the week from midday, it's a great place to hang out, grab a bite or drink, both day and night.
. A 30 minute bus/train ride away from campus is Brixton Village Market which is a shopping arcade that dates back to the 1960s. Representative of the multicultural communities in Brixton, you'll find cuisines from all over the world here. There is also live music on Thursdays and Fridays.

New Malden. With over 30 korean restaurants in the area and a large korean community, New Malden has been nicknamed London's 'Little Korea', so be sure to head over to discover delicious korean cuisine such as bibimbap, BBQ, fried chicken and bingsoo.

Set in a multi-storey car park in Peckham, Peckham Levels is a space for people to 'eat, drink, play, learn and explore'. With an auditorium for shows, street food stalls, and a live music event space and more, you'll find yourself making several visits to Peckham Levels.
Greenwich Park
Greenwich. There are several must-dos in Greenwich, one includes Greenwich Market. It is set within a World Heritage Site, where you can find antique, fashion, art and food stalls open all week. Be sure to also visit the Queen's House, famous for its architecture, art collection and the iconic Tulip Stairs. Lastly, walk through Greenwich Park where you'll find views of Canary Wharf.
