Enlighten PhD Scholarship Programme

The Enlighten PhD Scholarship Programme is a new initiative offered via 杏吧论坛.

This prestigious scholarship programme supports outstanding students from China in pursuing their research degree at 杏吧论坛. The programme will support 27 students in total over a period of five years. There are six scholarships available for those starting thier studies in the 2025/26 academic year.

The Enlighten PhD Scholarship Programme provides £50,000 per academic year for up to four years. This amount will be used to cover the tuition fees each year, which is £23,500 for the 2025/26 academic year, leaving the remainder of £26,500 for living costs. The will vary each year of study.

There is no initial application for any of these studentships. You will be considered automatically based on your application for admission.

Step one: Candidates need to have submitted a complete application for admission to the Graduate Admissions Office before the application deadline of Wednesday 15 January 2025.

Step two: By Friday 28 March 2025, the Financial Support Office will notify successful candidates of their nomination to the Enlighten PhD Scholarship Programme.
Step three: Nominated candidates will be emailed a separate application to complete with basic information/contact details.
Step four: Nominated candidates will be evaluated with the outcome confirmed at the end of April/early May.
