International students

The ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ community is very diverse, with students from over 140 different countries and 40 per cent of staff from outside of the UK. This diversity facilitates social science discussions from a global perspective, building on the different experiences, views and beliefs of our student body.

Admissions

We welcome applications from all qualified prospective students and seek to recruit individuals with the very best academic merit, potential and motivation, irrespective of their background. We carefully consider each application on an individual basis, based on the full set of information presented on the UCAS application form, including an applicant’s academic record, subject combination, educational circumstances, teacher’s reference and personal statement.

How to apply

All applicants who wish to study at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ must apply through UCAS. We do not accept any direct applications.

Although UCAS allow students from outside of the EU to apply up to the end of June, given the competition for places at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ ALL applicants are strongly advised to submit their UCAS application by the 29 January 2025 deadline for September 2025 entry.

It's rare that we will have places remaining on our programmes after the January deadline.

Please see our How to apply guidance.

Entry requirements

Our entry requirements vary by programme, and are listed on the individual undergraduate degree programme webpages.

Our usual standard offer and entry requirements are listed in terms of A-levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB), however we accept a wide range of international qualifications. Please visit our Information for international students page to check country specific entry requirements

If your qualification is not listed, please contact us.

Applicants applying with certain qualifications may be asked to sit our Undergraduate Admissions Assessment (UGAA) before a final decision can be made on their application. The Admissions team will invite applicants to take the assessment if is required.

If you are made an offer you may have to provide evidence of your English language proficiency, although you don't need to provide this at the time of application. We only ask for proof of English language proficiency once you have been made an offer.

Please refer to our Applying to ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Open Day page and information for prospective students for additional application guidance.

Visas and immigration

ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳’s dedicated International Student Visa Advice Team (ISVAT) are here to provide applicants, current students and recent graduates with visa related guidance.

Accommodation

Accommodation is guaranteed for all first year undergraduates who make ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ their firm choice and apply by the accommodation guarantee deadline. Students can select their hall of residence based on a range of criteria, including location, meal provision and room type. Some residences offer 50 week contracts which include the Christmas, Easter and summer vacations, which could be a good option if you’re planning on staying in London or want to leave your belongings in your room over the breaks.

Visit our accommodation pages to explore the available options, access price lists and undertake virtual 360 degree tours of the residences.

Our halls are centrally located, offering the unique opportunity to live close to London landmarks such as Trafalgar Square or Covent Garden, and within walking distance of ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳’s campus. Living in halls is a great way to adjust to living in London, meet new people and settle into student life. Halls of residence will organise their own programme of social events and warden teams are available 24/7 to provide practical and pastoral guidance.
