SGH Warsaw School of Economics is the oldest university of economics in Poland. It was founded in 1906 as a private institution. There are approximately students studying, with more than 300 partner universities around the world. The is based in central Warsaw, a city known for its rich history, culture and beautiful architecture.

Applicants must be in their second year and must return to 杏吧论坛 after the year abroad to complete their degree. 

To be eligible for consideration, you must have an overall average of 60% or above from all of your first year courses. Applicants with individual module scores under 60% will be considered, as long as the overall average grade is 60% or above. 

As part of your application, you must provide your marks from your first year modules at 杏吧论坛 and the name and contact details of one academic referee. Your referee can be any academic member of staff from your department at 杏吧论坛.

The Fall Semester begins in late September, with exams ending in mid-February. The Spring Semester begins in mid-February, with exams ending in late September.  

To validate a semester, an exchange student should pass 30 ECTS credits.

One full course (30 contact hours) equals 3 ECTS credits. Free movers must take at least 21 ECTS.  

The grades are from 2.0 (Fail) to 5.0 (Very Good). 3.0 is a minimum Pass. 4.0 is a good, average grade. 

Orientation takes place a week before the beginning of classes. Orientation is not obligatory but strongly recommended and includes cross-cultural training.

All exchange students may attend classes in Polish for beginners. Upon request (and with permission of SGH Centre for Foreign Languages) students may join language tutorials  (German, English, French, Russian, Spanish, and Italian).

On campus housing costs: PLN 3200 to PLN 4400 per semester. There is an additional damage deposit of PLN 1100. 

Off-campus housing costs: PLN 1500 – PLN 2500 per month. 

Non-EU citizens are required to pay for health insurance to the Polish National Health Fund at the monthly rate of 55 PLN, This covers all basic health services, including basic dental services. More information on the Polish National Health Fund can be found .

EU students are required to have health insurance covering medical expenses for the full period of stay (EU citizens should possess European Health Insurance Card), including accident and personal liability insurance.

The CEMS Club offers business centric throughout the year. In addition to this, the offers a platform integrating entrepreneurial graduates and students of SGH Warsaw School of Economics. 

SGH conducts (PE) classes for all students, offering a wide range of activities in many sports disciplines. In addition to compulsory physical education classes, we also invite students to participate in , e.g. recreation and sports activities, under the supervision of qualified teaching staff. This includes a Bodybuilding Centre and Gymnasium.  

Students from outside the EU should apply for a student visa prior to arrival. In some cases, issuing a visa may take more time.
