Jonathan has a bachelor degree in Oceanography from Intechmer (French National Institute of Sciences and Technics of the Sea) and a Higher Diploma in Marine Sciences at Glamorgan University. After working for various hydrographic companies, he received a master's degree after studying Geophysical Hazards at UCL. Since then, he is working as a consultant and as a teacher for the UCL Hazard Centre. In these previous experiences, he worked closely with the Mining Minister in Chile. He is now pursuing a PhD in Natural Hazards and Vulnerability with the London NERC DTP.
