Breakfast Club

Breakfast treats in the Michael Wise Room.

Every Tuesday morning throughout term time we deliver delicious breakfast treats to CKK 3.15 for students and staff to enjoy.

Field Trips

Our undergraduate students are given the opportunity to go on a field trip and carry out field work. Our trips have included visits to Havana and Kerala.

Our first years also visit Juniper Hall in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Students explore themes of environmental pollution and urban climates, and embark on a series of hands-on activities.

We offer students on some of our master's programmes the chance to carry out research abroad. Our MSc Local Economic Development students have visited L'Aquila, Italy, and our MSc Urbanisation and Development students have travelled to Seoul, South Korea.

ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳SU Geography and Environment Society 

The ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳SU Geography and Environment Society runs lots of events throughout the year, including a Winter Ball. The Society is open to all ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ students.

We host a range of public events across topics relating to geography and the environment. Unless otherwise stated, our events are free and open to all.

Undergraduate Research Fellowships

Our Undergraduate Research Fellowships scheme gives students the opportunity to be paid to provide research assistance for our academic staff. Through this scheme, our undergraduates work on live research projects, many of which are published in leading academic journals.
