Enam is an international development practitioner turned anti-colonial thinker, seeking answers to the questions around decolonising environmental governance in the global south – especially Bangladesh. Growing out of a forest village on the South-East coast of Bangladesh (once part of historic Arakan), he has seen the dispossession of natural resources from the marginalised communities first-hand.
He has worked with international and national organisations to enable inclusive and participatory environmental governance for more than 14 years, through evidence-based advocacy, grassroots community mobilisation and civil society-led programmes.
Enam holds a Master of Science degree in Inequalities and Social Science (with distinction) from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences and a Master of Social Science and a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) degree in Sociology from the University of Dhaka.
