Vincent's PhD research centres on the exploration of virtual environment and virtual reality applications within stated preference methods and subjective well-being valuation, with the aim of mitigating inherent challenges associated with these research methodologies. He aims to integrate virtual environment and virtual reality into the stated preference/subjective well-being framework to create more genuine and captivating scenarios for environmental valuation, thereby reducing hypothetical bias and elevating the accuracy of the findings.
Before embarking on the doctoral journey, Vincent worked as a Senior Military Intelligence Officer where he was responsible for conducting strategic intelligence analysis, providing expert advice and recommendations to senior civilian and military leadership. During his time with the intelligence office, Vincent has led teams from multiple ministries in policy formulation, spearheading research whitepapers and directing political and military risk analyses that shapes national-level defence policies.
Vincent holds an MSc in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ and a BA in Economics from University of Manchester. He is also the recipient of the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ PhD Studentship in Data Science.
