ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Government Photography Competition 2025

'belong'

We are excited to announce our 2025 photography competition. The competition is open to all Department of Government students (undergraduate, Masters and PhD).

The theme for this year’s competition is 'belong'.

What is home? The centre of your World?
A roof over your head? A warm bed?
A safe space? A sacred place?
Something you can hold? Or feel in your bones?
A memory or a dream?
Fleeting or eternal?
Four walls? No walls?
Security? Freedom?
Somewhere that's yours.
Somewhere you belong.

We have a brilliant global community of students and your photographs can be taken anywhere, wherever you are in the world, and you do not need to be in the photograph. See our FAQ section below for full details on how to submit your work.

We’ll be displaying the winning submissions on the and there are also prizes up for grabs (1st - £100 voucher | 2nd - £75 voucher | 3rd - £50 voucher).

Check out the 2024 winners .
