Comparative Public Policy, Administration and Regulation Research Group

Research Pillars: Public Policy and Administration

About: The study of public administration and public policy has been central to ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳’s mission and the Department of Government has been at the heart of internationally leading comparative public policy and administration research and teaching.

The CPPAR research group’s core areas of research interest are:

  • Comparative Public Policy and Administration
  • Regulation and Governance
  • Executive Politics

Among the group’s strengths are its international outlook and its methodological and theoretical openness. The group has a substantial breadth and diversity of interests; including the study of public organisations, the interaction between politicians and bureaucrats, implementation and enforcement, sustainability policies, the relationship between expertise and politics, and regulatory policies.

The group has strong links with other research centres at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, in particular the Centre for Analysis of Risk and Regulation (CARR).
