Non-degree language courses
How much do they cost?
How much do they cost?
These courses are available to ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Students, ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Staff and ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Alumni.
Please follow the 'how to register' instructions. All classes on campus and in-person, but please remember the registration process is completely online.
2024/25 prices for non degree language courses
The normal fee (Standard and Fast Track) is
£375
.
Super Standard (there is only one Super Standard course and this is LN773 Russian) is
£565.
How can I pay?
If you are a current ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ student you will be asked to pay the fee for your non-degree modern language course in the same way you make other payments to ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, via the School's payment portal. Staff and Alumni will be asked to pay for their course via the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ eShop.
Information will be emailed to you when you complete your registration. Please follow the information within the
'how to register' section for each language

What else might I need to know about payment?
If you are an ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ student and you receive funding from your Department, they will confirm with us those eligible for funding. We will take this subsidy into account when asking you to pay the fee for your non-degree modern language course via the School's payment portal.
If you are a member of ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ staff and receive funding from your Department or Service Unit you should register and pay for your course and then submit a claim via One Finance for reimbursement.
For any members of ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ staff in receipt of funding you should register and pay for your course and then . Based on the level of subsidy you receive we will then refund you through the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ eShop.
If you are a UK/EU ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ undergraduate student and do not have a GCSE Grade 4 or equivalent in a language that is not your tongue you can claim a free language course during your time at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳. Please check the
ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Language Policy
for details. You should register for your course and then . We will then take this into account when adding the fee for your non-degree modern language course to your student fee account. If you have any questions about whether you are eligible or not, you can check with us during our

NB: GCSE Grade 4 or equivalent is the level of our Level 2 (Fast Track), so you would need to be claiming for a course at that level or below.
