About me

Dr Evelyn Pauls is the Impact Manager of the UKRI GCRF Gender, Justice and Security Hub based at the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Centre for Women, Peace and Security and a Researcher at the Berghof Foundation. Her participatory action research project examines the reintegration of female ex-combatants in Colombia and Uganda as well as Burundi, Indonesia, Nepal and the Philippines through documentary filmmaking. Her research interests include gender and conflict, participatory and visual methods and research impact.

Evelyn was also the editor of the Millennium Journal of International Studies and a visiting researcher at the National University of Singapore. She holds a PhD in International Relations from the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, which focused on child combatants in Sierra Leone and Myanmar, an MPhil in International Relations from the University of Oxford and a BA in Political Science and Public Law from the University of Mannheim.
