Postgraduate courses not running 2023/24

Some of the courses offered by the Department of Government are not available each year. Please see the full list of suspended and withdrawn courses for 2023/24

Student teaching timetables

ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Teaching Timetables can be found on the  webpage. 

Students can view their personal timetables on ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ for You. These are usually available from Welcome onwards. The specific date will be available on the above webpage nearer the time.

Switching MSc Government programmes

between the MSc programmes at the beginning of the session are only allowed in exceptional circumstances and should be discussed with your academic mentor.

You are expected to attend only the orientation meeting for the course for which you have been accepted. 

MSc-level Economics courses - deadlines

If you are thinking of taking an MSc-level Economics course as part of your programme, please see  page for full details and to access the application form. The information is for the current academic year and will be updated for 2023/24 entry soon.

On campus enrolment/registration is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 23 August 2023 and teaching is scheduled to commence on Monday 28 August 2023 (Bank Holiday Monday). 

Offer holders who apply via the webform will find out whether they have been accepted onto the EC400 course in early/mid July 2023.

Additional support during your studies

The School offers a range of study support facilities, via

Visa

All offer-holders who require a visa should refer as soon as possible to the guidance from the.

In-person drop-ins take place from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the Student Services Centre. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, there is a specialist visa advice Live Chat from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. Please refer to the for further information.

Fees and Finance

The is responsible for administering School funds and a variety of scholarships, studentships, prizes and awards. You are advised to make an early application. Please follow the instructions on the How to Complete the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Graduate Financial Support Application.

Applications are administered entirely by the .

Applicants should expect to receive a decision from the Financial Support Office only via ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ for You (LfY) by the end of July (confirmation is not sent via email or in writing).
