Wanying is a PhD candidate in the Department of Health Policy and a recipient of the NIHR School for Social Care Research Studentship at Care Policy and Evaluation Centre (CPEC) at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳. She is currently working on topics of informal caregiving and ageing using quantitative methods.
Wanying holds an MSc in International Health Policy (Health Economics) from the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ and a BSc in Economics from Xiamen University. She was the winner of the Brian Abel-Smith Prize for Best Dissertation in MSc IHPHE 2021-22. She has previously worked as a research assistant at CPEC and as a field researcher for the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study.
